  Evaluation     Pre-production is the process in which a film is organised and planned before shooting. The three subcategories of pre-production are: finance, logistics and creative. Finance is the money-based side of pre-production which involves things such as a budget and sourcing funding. Logistics is the more logical part of pre-production which involve having thing in order such as call sheets, release forms and location recces. Pre-production is important as it allows for a film to be produced at a professional standard. If you were to go out and film without it you would end up with something of mediocre quality at best, not to mention the fact that pre-production allows you to get everything in order and can make the shooting process much easier. Effective project management would consist of the following: clear and coherent logical decisions, effective management of staff/actors/resources and a level of industry standard professionalism throughout.
